“But we have this
treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and
not from us.
…we do not lose
heart. Though outwardly we are wasting
away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and
momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs
them all.
So we fix our
eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:7, 16-18
I am reminded that we need to have bodies that
continue to become weaker day by day. We
must reconcile to the fact that we cannot physically do all that we could a few
years ago. I am convicted that I can
even rejoice in my “wasting away” for in this way the shining light of Jesus
can be seen in me more brilliantly. His
power becomes more as our jar becomes less, we must die to ourselves and
display the treasure that has been waiting in us.
As we become weary in our busy day doing that
in which we know God is calling us to do we can rejoice in the power He puts in
our minds and hearts to not give up. We
can look up, keep walking by faith and allow His light to shine in this world.
And I can't wait to be clothed with my heavenly dwelling!! (2 Corinthians 5: 2-4)
